Discover our School
Our school respectfully acknowledges that we are located on the ancestral, traditional and unceded Indigenous territory of the Algonquin Peoples,
on whose territory we pray, learn, play and work.
The OCSB acknowledges the suffering experienced by Indigenous peoples in Canada's Residential Schools and is committed to Truth and Reconciliation. Read the OCSB Response to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action to learn more.

Welcome to Notre Dame High School...Why Choose Us?
Our school has a chapel that is open daily for all students and staff.
Our chapel is a sacred space set aside for the religious and spiritual needs of our school community and its members. Our Chapel is a distinguishing feature of our Catholic education system. Our chapel reminds us to make room for God who is at the center of all life. Our chapel’s primary function is to support personal prayer and communal liturgy as well as school pastoral programs. In addition, staff members are encouraged to use this space with their students for prayer and reflection.
Our school's current Chaplaincy Leader is Charity Corbett.
The Catholic school is an expression of the Church's commitment to support parents in their task of raising their children as Christians. Our school chaplain,Charity Corbett together with teachers assist parents in helping students practice their faith by loving God and neighbours. This faith leadership is inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a spirit of hospitality, solidarity, compassion and respect for all.
High school chaplaincy is a ministry of presence to staff, students and their families.
Charity is available to listen, to counsel, to support, to provide spiritual direction, to visit hospitals and funeral homes, and is a member of the restorative justice & crisis response teams.
Through our chaplaincy program, daily prayer, weekly class masses, weekly staff prayer, peer support, community worship of the various liturgical seasons, retreats, resource to faith across curriculum and social action projects are animated. Over the years we have helped support initiatives from Development and Peace, Guatemala Stove Project, Shepherds of Good Hope, and Christmas support of homeless youth through the Youth Services Bureau.
Charity also fosters liaisons with local parish communities and the diocese. Members for the St. Basil’s community are invited to join us for our Wednesday morning weekly mass and the Knights of Columbus from Our Lady of Fatima generously donate their time to come in and teach all of our grade 7 students the history of the rosary and then, together we pray share in the spiritual practice.
Charity is available for students, staff and parents so that all may participate in developing a community that models their life on the Gospel values of Jesus Christ.
Our school community is served by the following parishes:
Policies and procedures
Notre Dame has a mandatory uniform policy. This uniform gives our school a distinctive identity, reflects our Christian values and should be worn with pride and modesty.
Students are expected to be in uniform during class time. Students not in school uniform will not be admitted to class and may be sent home.
The uniform consists of two mandatory items from Top Marks: the white or grey top and the navy bottom or kilt (Nylons, tights or leggings may be worn under the kilt/skirt provided they match the school uniform colours white, grey, black. No fishnet stockings or tights with holes.)
Students are permitted to wear a long sleeve under a short sleeve uniform top so long as it is navy, white or grey and has no image or message.
Team jerseys are permitted on game days, Top Marks uniform bottoms are still required.
Notre Dame Eagle Wear may be worn as acceptable school uniform, Top Marks issued uniform bottoms are still required.
Please note Jogging pants ordered through Eagle Wear are not included.
