On
November 11th, Notre Dame students attended a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph in the morning and spent the afternoon at the War Museum, where they were joined by students from all across Canada.

Five students and Mme. Levesque represented Notre Dame and presented a $600 cheque to Dr. Paul Kavanagh, founder of Operation Veteran, and Mr. Stephen Quick, Director of the Canadian War Museum, in support of veterans. The money was raised by a school-wide fundraising initiative, during which students sold cookies that were decorated with poppies by Ms. Smith's Hospitality class. All of the proceeds from the cookies sales were directed to Operation Veteran, a program that helps honour veterans, raise awareness of their sacrifices, and preserve Canada's military history. Thank you to everyone involved!

On
April 9th, a group from Notre Dame will be will be attending a very special commemorative ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War and the Battle of Vimy Ridge. From April 5th-14th, these students will be travelling on an overseas enrichment trip "In The Footsteps of our Heroes."
